When textile takes on a new dimension
What if the ribbon no longer settled for being woven, dyed, or printed? What if it became a true support for volumetric creation?
With direct 3D printing on narrow textiles, Maison Satab opens a new territory of expression for creators. This technology makes it possible to directly integrate raised decoration onto ribbons and narrow textiles, transforming a flexible material into a graphic, tactile, and unique surface. Maison Satab is today the first French manufacturer to offer this technology on narrow textiles.
From Pattern to Relief
Traditional printing plays with color and drawing. 3D adds a new dimension: touch.
Graphic motifs, logos, material effects, decorative elements or technical markings can take shape directly on the textile. Relief then becomes a means of creating contrasts, capturing light or giving true depth to the pattern.
This technology also makes it possible to explore optical illusion effects and a very wide color palette, with opaque or transparent resins and matte or glossy finishes.
Textiles as a New Playground
Ribbons, straps or other narrow textile supports thus become experimental surfaces. Technology makes it possible to design personalized creations, particularly for fashion, packaging, accessories or even technical applications. 3D printing on textiles is moreover being explored in fashion and luxury to create textures, ornaments and effects impossible to reproduce with certain traditional techniques.
Producing on demand also opens up a reflection on how to design: imagine only what is necessary, personalize more, and limit superfluous production.
A material that can be looked at and touched
With direct 3D printing on narrow fabric, the ribbon changes dimension.
It becomes surface, motif, volume and signature.
A new way for Maison Satab to combine its textile expertise with innovation, and to offer creators a space for expression where material no longer merely adorns: it tells, surprises, and is felt.
